Black Sea–Mediterranean Corridor Expands: High-Speed Rail Supercharges GIA’s Logistics Power
Türkiye’s newly launched north–south high-speed rail projects are further strengthening GIA Industrial City’s strategic position. Located in Niğde Ulukışla, GIA is rapidly becoming one of the most logistically advantageous investment zones in Türkiye, thanks to its connection with expanding high-speed railway lines.
On June 14, Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu,
announced the official launch of construction for the Kırıkkale (Delice) – Çorum segment of
the Ankara–Kırıkkale–Çorum–Samsun High-Speed Rail Line. Once completed, the project will
enable the seamless transport of 12 million passengers and 14 million tons of cargo annually
along the north–south axis.
The new rail line will reduce travel time between Ankara and Samsun to 2.5 hours, and Ankara
to Çorum to just 1 hour and 15 minutes. Meanwhile, construction is also underway on the
southern continuation of this corridor along the Karaman–Ulukışla–Mersin–Adana axis.
GIA: At the Heart of the Black Sea–Mediterranean Rail Corridor
Situated in the Niğde Ulukışla region, GIA Industrial City is quickly evolving into a
logistics hub with direct connections to Black Sea ports and Central Anatolia through these
new high-speed rail networks. Once the Samsun–Mersin corridor is completed, GIA’s strategic
access will become a critical gateway not just for Türkiye, but also for markets in the
Middle East, the Caucasus, and Europe.
With direct links to ports, highways, and now high-speed rail, GIA offers investors fast
distribution to the domestic market and a strong logistical edge in export operations.

Transport Investment = Investment Confidence
Minister Uraloğlu described the project as “not just a railway, but a spark of development.” For companies investing in GIA, this large-scale infrastructure effort directly translates into long-term value. Surrounded by modern transportation systems, GIA stands at the heart of state-driven regional development.
GIA: The New Direction of Investment
With its government-backed incentive system, integrated transportation infrastructure, and powerful production capacity, GIA Industrial City is no longer just an industrial zone—it is Türkiye’s emerging gateway to a future defined by logistics, speed, and global reach.
